Welcome to Course #208 Fundamentals of Heat-Pump Space Heating and Cooling.
This course provides an overview of heat-pump space heating and cooling technology, challenges, and opportunities associated with these installations. The course includes an introduction to heat-pump technology and how the mechanics differ from traditional energy sources. The course will cover what to expect when installing a heat-pump space heating and cooling system. We will cover additional considerations that must be addressed to be prepared for the electrification process. We will review common barriers related to permit application and inspection that the compliance officials must be prepared for in the field. This course is eligible for CEUs from the International Code Council.
