Prime: Quattrocchi Kwok Architects School: American Canyon High School District: Napa Valley Unified School District
Quattrocchi Kwok Architects is contracted to pursue LEED for Schools Certification for American Canyon High School for the Napa Valley Unified School District. The highest level of LEED Certification will be pursued based on the feasibility of the building design and supporting CHPS Verification documentation available. The majority of the documentation from the original CHPS Verified application overlaps with the LEED criteria the project is pursuing and is relevant for the LEED Certification application.
The project’s primary objective is to achieve LEED for Schools Certification for American Canyon High School. The project scope for American Canyon High School involves the submittal of the LEED Design & Construction Certification Application. The American Canyon High School new campus project included a double ellipse pathway, campus greenery, library, administration building, a 400-seat theater, a 2,500-seat gymnasium, four small learning communities and specialized academy buildings.
The ID360 team was contracted to support QKA in pursuing LEED certification for American Canyon High School. The ID360 team collaborated with QKA in conducting a comprehensive sustainability assessment and streamlined strategies to aid the contractor in assembling the construction phase submittal to identify areas for improvement and achieve the baseline metrics. The ID360 team performed a technical analysis of the CHPS Verified documentation and determined the applicable credits to pursue LEED Certification. The team developed a LEED Scorecard for the project team and a comprehensive documentation log based on the existing CHPS documentation. The ID360 team supported QKA in formally submitting the LEED Project to GBCI using the LEED Online interface.
