ID360 worked closely with city staff and the EV Task Force stakeholders to create the most aggressive EV Charging Policy in the nation. The policy focuses on maximizing electric vehicle (EV) charging for new construction within the City of Palo Alto. The policy outlines separate requirements for new single-family residential construction, new multi construction, new commercial construction, and new hotel construction. The policy was developed in 2014 and remains the most rigorous EV infrastructure policy in any local jurisdiction in the United States.
