City of Palo Alto – 2024 Green Building Standards and Energy Reach Code “One Margin” Ordinances (Current Planning)

Students of this course will gain knowledge about sustainability and energy-efficient design in the context of implementing green building and energy reach code requirements within a city. This course provides high-level training about what green building and energy reach codes are, how they relate to sustainability, and what the steps are for a city to show compliance once a green building and energy reach code is adopted. This training will allow students to understand environmental compliance standards and how staff can demonstrate leadership within the community.
